Erika began her career in art at a very early age. As a sixth grader she entered art classes for gifted students at the Smithsonian and the Corcoran Museums in Washington D.C. Later she took art courses in college, spending a semester in Riva, Switzerland and majoring in Architecture at Virginia Tech. She currently works for Thompson and Litton, an architecture/engineering firm. Erika's first passion remains art. Her subjects are large abstract landscape, magical caves and unusual waterfalls. Opposing elements, water and fire appear ghost-like, blending back and forth into the turbulent river.
